EDITORS COMMENTS
Greetland youngsters Alexander and Helen Jackson have achieved a remarkable feat by securing their place in the national final to become Bisto ambassadors. The talented duo, aged nine and six respectively, emerged as regional winners among tough competition and will now face off against five other pairs in the highly anticipated London showdown later this month. What makes their achievement even more special is that Alexander and Helen's older siblings had previously participated in the same competition but fell short of reaching such heights. This victory not only showcases their individual talent but also highlights their dedication and determination to succeed. As part of their newfound ambassadorship, the chosen pair will be awarded a generous prize of £1,000. However, it doesn't end there - they will also represent the renowned gravy brand at various charity events aimed at raising funds for two esteemed organizations: NSPCC (National Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children) and Scotland's RSSPCC (Royal Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children). This heartwarming photograph captures Alexander and Helen proudly donning flat caps while posing with infectious smiles on their faces. It serves as a testament to their accomplishment during an era when children's competitions were celebrated with genuine enthusiasm. Taken on October 13th, 1991, this timeless image embodies youthful ambition, family legacy, community support, and above all else - triumph.
