Sergey Vladimirovich Ilyushin (1894-1977), Soviet aircraft designer. From 1926, Ilyushin founded an aircraft design company named after him. Its aircraft included the World War II Ilyushin Il-2 strike aircraft and Ilyushin Il-4 bomber, and the later commercial airliners Ilyushin Il-18 and Ilyushin Il-62.
