Chairman of the board of The Sphere and Tatler company; also a director of Eyre and Spottiswoode, the Kings printers and of Messrs. John Broadwood and Sons, the famous pianoforte manufacturers. Raised funds for the Printers Pension Corporation, particularly through the production and sale of Printers Pie every summer and Christmas. In his younger days, he played county cricket for Kent and was a fine golfer and game shot. Date: 1915
