In this evocative photograph, Arsenal legend Robin van Persie makes his pre-season debut for the Gunners against Barnet FC at Underhill on 17th July 2004. Van Persie, who had joined Arsenal from Feyenoord the previous summer, was eager to make an impact in his new surroundings. Dressed in the iconic red and white stripes, the Dutch international striker is seen here in action, poised to take on the Barnet defence with his characteristic determination and skill.
